You’re going to read that title and, if you get this far, you’re going to sigh and say “Oh no, not another one!” And I’m going to reply “Yes, I’m presenting you with another Blog about life, because I need it to be so.”
The year 2020 will forever live in infamy. And I’m saying this with the full knowledge that at the time of this writing 2020 isn’t even half over yet. Additional unmitigated disasters may be inflicted upon the world in the months to come. I think I’m somewhat safe in making this prognostication.
During one 2020 event that is still in full sail, the COVID-19 Pandemic, it has become evident that the simple things in life are by far the most important. This graphic plainly and succinctly lays this fact out for all to see:
Of course, within the civilization that we Homo sapiens have developed there is one item that is required in order to enjoy even these simple items: money. An avalanche of words have been written about money, so I’m not going to add too much to that deluge. I will concentrate on life.
One item that is missing from the above graphic is music. Music has been and continues to be a vital aspect of our being. Throughout my life I’ve experienced many moments of pure joy while listening to music. My specific genre is Rock Music, which is divided into many sub-genres. Your tastes may differ. That’s fine. Our differences should be celebrated, not shunned. You be you!
Hoping that you will explore my Blog and find some some moments of joy, I leave you with this final appeal: I plead with you to fully embrace the simple things and have empathy for those who are denied these important and vital aspects of life, doing what you can to help them achieve the items on this list.
